# Linger — Image Organizer for Design References A private, local-first home for your inspiration on macOS. Save images, screenshots and links, keep your own notes, and find design references for your next project. Upgrades to new major versions are optional paid purchases; the purchased version remains usable without renewal fees. - Lifetime: USD 79 once, for one person on up to four Macs. Includes all future major versions of the Linger desktop app, feature updates and maintenance updates, with no further upgrade fee. This is a single-user license; each device has its own local library, without cloud sync. - Business: custom pricing for studios and companies purchasing individual licenses for multiple people, with two Macs per person as standard. Additional device requirements are quoted separately. Standard licenses include permanent access to the major version purchased and all updates within that version. Optional model services are paid separately through your own provider or tool. All personal and Business plans include the core feature set: no item-count limits (capacity depends on local storage), image/video/webpage/text capture, file import and clipboard capture, the Chrome extension, local article reading, personal notes/tags/sources, collections and saved searches, keyword search and source/media/date filters, wall/grid/stack/focus browsing, duplicate-save protection and recoverable trash. The local library and core features work offline. Optional AI connections provide OCR, descriptions, summaries and semantic or similar-reference recall within a chosen scope; provider and tool fees are separate and processing is off by default. An optional experimental canvas supports arranging and connecting references during a session; its layout is not retained after quitting. ## Collect, remember and rediscover - **Collect:** Bring files, screenshots and web links into a visual inspiration library. Organize references into collections and browse a compact grid, stacks or a focus view. - **Remember:** Keep personal notes, tags and source information alongside each reference. Record the color, feeling or detail that made it worth saving. - **Rediscover:** Search saved titles, notes and tags. Filter by source, media or date, and save a useful query as a collection. ## Your inspiration stays yours Your library lives locally. Linger keeps imported copies in its managed library while leaving source files untouched. Personal notes stay separate from optional analysis written by an external AI agent. If you choose to connect an external agent, selected references can be sent to its provider; everyday collecting and search stay local. When released, it will begin with the first successfully usable library, require no card and never charge automatically. After expiry, originals, source links and notes will remain accessible, with basic search and safe export; adding content and the full workflow will require a purchase.
